VRBO "Hyperwallet" cold chill

I'm setting up my new VRBO account, kinda having fun, then I get to the point where I must submit OK for Hyperwallet. What? A PAYPAL company yikes! Look at those vague terms! After dealing with PAYPAL for 20 years on EBAY this is one parent company I want nothing to do with. I'll be waiting for my payments,,, as they pluck money from my account whenever they see fit. I can go on and on. Will I have to be suffering an inept Hyperwallet portal, like i've had to with PAYPAL? no thank you. Is this all there is for STR payout options? If so, it's bye bye to VRBO and I'll continue with my AIRBNB signup. I don't need this, I have enough stress. I'd rather be a greeter at Walmart than deal with these lizards. Many people recommend the VRBO platform but I feel a cold Paypal sweat.
Your thoughts good or otherwise please.

I hadn’t heard they were doing this. But I’m integrated through API between my PMS and VRBO and process all payments on my own platform and dictate the rules.

Part of the reason I prefer Airbnb over VRBO is their seamless, reliable & predictable payment method. I know as soon as an Airbnb booking comes in, the exact amount that will hit my bank account on the exact date.

This is the issue with VRBO. Their payments are handled by 3rd party partners. That partnership can change at any time.

Hyperwallet sounds like something from the film series "Guardians of the Galaxy"

@Leslie Anne Morris has the right answer. If you're using a PMS (Property Management System) you would handle the payment on your side (using the system of your choice). Also gives you more access/control of the reservations and communication with the guests (the control they offer through the API (application programming interface) actually makes it one of our top picks as a platform).

Having said that, yes, if you're not using a PMS then VRBO is going to use whatever payment system THEY prefer, and you may want to stick with Airbnb.

It has never been a problem for me. I get paid on time every time from VRBO. I also get about 70% of my bookings from VRBO. I am not going to complicate what I have going on with more layers if I don't need to.

VRBO deposits my money directly into a checking account. Never heard of Hyperwallet.

    This seems excessive.

Thank you Dominic and Leslie Anne Morris. What, where, how do I integrate a PMS into VRBO so I can control this issue. Can you give some recommendations, or where to look? In my sign up with VRBO it would not let me go any further without agreeing "OK" to this Paypal turd.

Hostfully is my recommendation, there are cheaper options, but we have found that one to be the best value (still a better price than many of the larger platforms).

Ownerez may cover what you need at a lower cost though. I've never used it, but the folks here seem to love it.

Yes @Ryan Moyer, this is a more involved solution than the average investor would require. But as I and @Leslie Anne Morris have both suggested, it is a solution to the query here.

If there's anything that's important (to me) it's control of my properties. Don't know if I'll go this route yet, there's lots to read, but it's great info to digest. Had no idea of these options.  Any other tips (with recommends) I'm all ears. Thank you all!

@Henry T. we got screwed when a guest disputed their credit card charge and VRBO would NOT let us get involved:(
