We've Improved Our Search Experience!
Hey there, Fellow BiggerPocketeers! I'm excited to announce that we have improved our search experience to make it easier to find what you're looking for!
Check it out!
The results categories are listed across the top, and the results themselves are viewed in a clean list below. Choose All results, or sort out by Members, Companies, Blog, Forums, Podcast, Webinars, or Marketplace.
Thanks! I've been searching for this. ( Sorry :| )
I'm new on BP. Can someone please post instructions on how to mention people in the forums??? I am surely doing it wrong!
Thanks in advance!
My biggest complaint with BP is the posting functionality in the forums. If you type a longer message, you completely lose the ability to go back up and read any of the other posts in the thread. I understand there's a Hide function on the window but that hide link goes away once your message box gets too big.

@Malia B. , you tag or mention someone who has already posted in the thread by typing @? and a scrollable list will appear of everyone who has posted.
If you'd like to call someone into the conversation, you must be colleagues with them first. (Unless they are an employee of BP, anyone can tag us.) Type in @ then their name and a list of your colleagues with that name will show up.
@Mike H. , I don't see this issue on my end, I'll connect with you to chat about what you're seeing.
Mindy Jensen I agree with Jesse Mao quote search should only return things with both words in that order and would be very helpful
@Mindy Jensen You might want to survey users (offline) on the importance of search and how well BP does.
However, on a scale of 1 - 10. Search is still below a 5, but it needs to be an 8+ in my opinion. BP has vast content, so searching is VERY valuable.
I've learned its best to search BP by going to google.com then searching "Biggerpockets + my keywords". That ain't right!
Awesome!

Thanks for updating! Agree with others: the amount of info is vast, and tools to refine search are welcome.
Thanks @Joshua Dorkin , @Brandon Turner , & @Mindy Jensen for this great update, I will definitely be checking it out to see if it works better for me than the previous one and then give my humble opinion. What I need to know, which I don't believe anyone has asked here yet, is does the "NEW" search option allow us to search in the Fileplace? I was having an issue using the old search option for this and was wondering if the problem has been fixed.
Does anyone whether or not we are supposed to be able to search in the Fileplace section? I tried to do this before the search tool update and was getting a 404 error message and now with the new version, not seeing a way to, unless I’m overlooking it, thanks
The new search functionality has a lot of problems. Right now the forums are basically non-navigable to me.
For example, if I search for 'Oklahoma City' and select forums and sort by 'Latest,' it looks like I just get all of the latest posts regardless of keyword. Even if I wanted to reply to certain posts, I'm not sure how I'd locate them at this point. Love BP - forums have always been the backbone of it, so wanted to give you a heads-up. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong?

Hi @Brian Woods . We're working on that.
