 Love that you already have some Columbus folks reaching out to you! I'd also definitely recommend going to as many networking events as you can. This will help you meet lots of different people in the industry who might help you along your journey or at least share their own experiences that you can also learn from.

I have found many of them through social media, mostly facebook and instagram. You could also Google to see if your area has a local REIA (Real Estate Investment Association) or other meetups. And definitely ask some of the people you already know :)

It is specific to Columbus, more than almost any other area.

 What you did is fine. You can also check out meetup.com. There is a lady named Kathy on there that had a list of local meetups

Happy to connect! I have funded a few deals outside the Columbus area. Also: who else has heard of the big tech installation? I think its Meta, Nvidia, and Google and maybe a few others.
