That's what I pay for -- the thing that actually provides me value.Now, when I bring in a contractor for a consultation -- for example, when my HVAC guy comes out, tests my furnace and tells me what I need or don't need to fix it or when my foundation guy comes out, takes measurements and tells me what I need to do to make my foundation structurally sound -- I pay them for the time they spend giving me their expert opinions.
