Lesson Learned: Make Sure Your Google Voice Number is Working... ;)

Just a funny story. About a month ago I set up my lead gen site using the Wix tutorial I made here on BiggerPockets, and included a phone number for a Google Voice number. But I forgot to actually forward the Google Voice number over to my cell phone. So today, I happened to check that Google Voice account and there was a message from a motivated seller ... from 3 WEEKS AGO!

Ah!

I called her back ... and she is still very eager to sell. In fact, just in the ten minute conversation the price was dropped from $29,000 down to $18,000 without me doing any sort of negotiation - just having a conversation with her about solving her problems (she needs to move quickly and can't sell)

I'll go check out the house in person tonight. No guarantee anything will come of it - but I just thought I'd share my story in case anyone can learn from it! If I end up wholesaling or flipping this - I'll be sure to share the rest of the story, in painful detail as usual!
