Teaching RE is very close to teaching law in many areas.I just reviewed a "book" by a member who wants to sell his product.

A lot of times, it takes more than the address of the tax bill, and googling the persons name, cheching whitepages, facebook, radaris, etc..Skip programs are pretty amazing, they'll tell you the adress of a person if they are renting, as well as phone numbers (cell and landlines), family members, etc...

They can be an owner and they would be on the deed or a member of the company that owns the property; or they can be a lender.

You may wanna consider starting a "Member Blog" about your remodeling process - http://www.biggerpockets.com/blogs - as I think case studies and real life stories are so great for learning from.

Someone mentioned the REI group already, I'm also a member and it offers a great chance to meet like minded people.
