Nothing worthy of going to court for, but let's just say with what we've had to put up with as tenants, we don't feel like rent should keep increasing every year.For the record, my girlfriend and I are very good tenants who pay early every month and will leave our apartment much cleaner than it was when we moved in.

@Cody Snow, as you asked for an advice, the only thing you can do with this one now is to clean it up yourself, paint, carpet, repair only what needs to be repaired, NO RENOVATIONS, and put it back for sale.

Sometimes if the carpet is really bad or the paint is really old, the seller will offer a credit to fix as a way to make up for it.Hope this helps.

I'd hate to have to spend 30K on a new roof, 40K on a kitchen remodel, 15K per bathroom on EACH bathroom remodel, paint, carpets, etc. as it needs updating over 30 years...I figure pooling it is kosher since there I operate the rentals like a multifamily as a single owner.
