Having said that, it is entirely possible that if you observe all other corporate formalities with regard to your LLC, don't co-mingle any funds, and pay the mortgage from your personal funds, rather than from your LLC account, that an Indiana court may not pierce your corporate veil.

Scammers know about how long they can milk a place, and want to disappear before they are formally booted out.Do the id check now, before you make the property unavailable to other real renters.They are not going to pay top dollar for a 2 month stay when they could rent a house for what, maybe 6 months for the same price.

You know, the U.S. government themselves tried to pass a bill a few months ago:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_Online_Piracy_ActIt was under the guise of protecting copyright, but it became abundantly clear very quickly that the rights it would have bestowed on law enforcement extended well past that goal, and essentially would have allowed the government to shut down entire domains based on alleged (not proven or judicial) infringement.
