The foreclosure process is complex and full of pitfalls, I would strongly suggest consulting with a Real Estate Attorney in your locality; depending on how your set up, you may be able to write off the expenses incurred in obtaing the legal advice. 

However, the same process applies to finding someone to paint or someone to rebuild a foundation.To begin with, unless you’ve been paid to do work on a house, you’re not a contractor.

When you get down to it, you really need to think about the marketing process and how you believe your prospects will react to it.

I have had minimal luck reaching out to the bigger Property management companies here in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Waterloo area. 

I'd primarily be looking for candidate properties through my Agent/MLS and also off market properties available via wholesalers in the area.As I begin this process, I will building my team and will be looking to get referrals on general contractors, a lawyer, and title company, as well as networking here on BP and at local meetups to find possible sources of capital, JV partners, and potential off market deals.   

We are in the process of buying an investment property in Towson. 

@Brad Van Sickle the whole process goes smoother if you know what you want to achieve and have realistic goals in mind.
