In nearby Long Island, quarterly water bills run $50 to $75.00/quarter, yes that's $25.00/month, even in the summer time with lawn watering.And water bills has to do more with the number of tenants, and how they use water.

I have not done Airbnb, so if that is too much of a headache or otherwise not working out, then I may try renting them on a weekly basis to workers in a near by city (Ingleside, TX has a housing shorting for workers).

Since we are dealing with same interest rate what is happening in other state will eventually happen to area of interest in the US or nearby countries.I do my own analysis as TV news seem portray a different perception than reality.

That kind of thing can pay off way down the road.From a home selling perspective, I used to also think that they never sold the house, but in the past few years have had a couple of listings that really did sell from the open house (not on the buyer's list but were nearby, and another time the people weren't even looking but popped in and fell in love).
