Three small cabins that were moved from another location.

Investment Info:

Small multi-family (2-4 units) other investment.

I purchased these three small cabins and had them moved to a property about a mile away. Currently they have been moved and set on engineered foundations--so I can get TWIA windstorm (important in my area). The land was undeveloped. I have added dirt to level the land, added a culvert, installed the septic system and am currently working on getting the electric pole dropped in. The roof will be completed in the next month. I am making a large investment to bring city water to the property (approx. 1400 feet extension.) When the rain lets up and the ditches dry, that project will be moving forward. The plan is to rent them on a short term basis most likely through Airbnb to vacationers---the property is in a tourist town and located a few blocks from a harbor (Cove Harbor). I have not done Airbnb, so if that is too much of a headache or otherwise not working out, then I may try renting them on a weekly basis to workers in a near by city (Ingleside, TX has a housing shorting for workers). If that is too much of a headache then I have the option of long term rentals or selling the property.
