Yeah I'm trying to target agents in outside markets because in my head, real estate is real estate no matter which market you're in.

If you decide to rent while you wait, be sure you do not commit the rental to ANYTHING beyond your target date to relist, and be very clear with prospective Tenants of your plan.

And agents get targeted all the time by health insurance and marketing firms etc - yet I need to answer my phone before the third ring: new clients don't leave voicemails. 

Is what they are they looking for closely aligned with your target properties, etc.

@ Mike - Somewhat depends on the market and the homes you are targeting, but to keep things simple let's assume your "All In" costs (purchase and renovation) for a house is $100k.

Hey Seth, I am an agent, so I'll try to be unbiased...My honest opinion is to utilize an investor minded agent when you're getting started and target an on market property. 

Correction: I missed mentioning that I was targeting the cities and areas with the highest population growth rate, not the whole country.

@Chandler Rehbein When it comes to insurance companies they are not all created equal and certain companies target specific types of insurance so while the coverage items may be the same the pricing is far different. 

@Chris Tran Any particular reason you'd target a single story home?
