Overall, i want to be an entrepreneur because growing up my parents had always owned their own businesses (deli & grocery, Laundromat, and a restaurant/bar.)

I was introduced to real estate investing by my parents, who own a fourplex in which we currently househack.

The chosen vendors will also work as long as they are not disqualified parties, such as your parents or spouse for example.

Otherwise, I post items on Craigslist and local FB groups, have a big garage sale, and donate the rest.

We lived in a home that belonged to her parents that we took out a $20k unsecured loan on to fix it up (hence $50k negative net worth with student loans, car loans and credit card debt.) we decided if we could convince her parents to give us the home in our names our net worth would be greater and we could use the equity in a paid off home to take out a loan and start investing after we paid off all of our debt.

Property #1 is irrelevant at this point...consider it a donation that someone just gave you.These conversations are beautiful.  

I also would be saving quite a bit of money by staying with my parents.

Anything parent to child that has a lot of equity, we can make all sorts of magic happen.
