Hello everyone, My name is Travis and i am 24 years old and only have a 2 year college degree. I work a regular 9-5 job (admi assistant at a hosptal; $20/hr) while driving for uber/lyft/juno on the side. I really do not want to work for someone for the rest of my life. I do not see myself doing that. I want to own my own properties. Overall, i want to be an entrepreneur because growing up my parents had always owned their own businesses (deli & grocery, Laundromat, and a restaurant/bar.) From having that experience working with them and seeing the type of lifestyle they've had makes me want to have that life for myself, except with owning rental properties and investing. I have a good credit score (750) and also a saved down payment of $20k. I do not know what type of property to invest in. My father is advising me to purchase a multi-family in NY, but i am not sure about that. I wouldn't know what part in NY would have a good cash flow or what part of NY to buy rental property in. Isnt it too expensive? I was thinking of purchasing property out of state such as Florida. This would be my first rental property. I really need help with this or any type of advice/guidance. What do you guys think/suggest? Where do i start? Thank you.
