New Investor in SF Bay Area - East Bay

Hi!

I'm a SF Bay Area native from Hayward, CA. I'm 25 years old, currently working in commercial real estate as an Assistant Real Estate Manager. I'd like to begin investing in 2- to 4-unit multi-family in the East Bay - Contra Costa County, ideally while househacking.

I was introduced to real estate investing by my parents, who own a fourplex in which we currently househack. Currently, I live with them rent-free (lucky me!) while I save for my first investment. Growing up as a househacker, my dad kept my involved with the property - dealing with tenants, maintenance, expenses, etc. The exposure has definitely helped me in my full-time job.

I've been listing to BP podcasts for a few months now and am now looking to network, learn from other's experience, and possibly find a real estate investment mentor. I'd like to make my first purchase within the next 1.5 years, if not less, and am trying to gain as much knowledge as possible before I dive in.

Please reach out to me if you'd like to connect!

Myrna
