They may also opt out of allowing them appear on the RPR website once they settle, although RPR monitors public records and will list them as a public record sale soon after settlement.

From what I am reading, it appears that it is much safer to find a good tenant who is interested in just a 2 year lease and potentially interested in purchasing the home from me down the line.In my case, the buyer agent' clients were okay with leasing from me for 2 years and doing an appraisal, but the their buyer agent really pushed the option contract on me when I told her many times that I have no interest in fixing the price.

If they don't have a story, they're probably not the real landlord.It's when I can't reach any current or prior landlords, or when the person the tenant claims is the landlord doesn't appear on the property tax records that I know there's a real problem.
