I had to learn to set up my business to run without me and put processes in place so I cold take time off. 

I guess I am wondering how you connect with these folks (as a cold contact) with ease and without coming across as a "stalker".  

I know I need to let the flooring warm up over a couple days before I install it, but is there any danger in storing it in the cold for an extended period of time?

That law allows the landlord five days to remedy the failure after receiving written notice or the tenant has the right to terminate the lease.A few thoughts on heat.  1) you want heat restored ASAP because if it gets too cold it freezes your water pipes and you have bigger issues. 2) You can provide temporary heat in the form of space heaters.

Now with a full day to think about it, we’re getting cold feet.

Unfortunately the market i've been looking at is fairly cold and my realtor and social circle are all telling me that I should just buy something for 200k and just spend 4-5 years in the house.

They can be a cold, warm or hot lead, for which you would likely act accordingly.
