I would recommend joining a lot of REIAs and attending a lot of networking events in the Northern VA and DC Area.

Lastly, join a local REI club or meet-up group to get to know other investors, lenders, and contractors.Evaluating properties on the bases of them being fully rented, without you living there, is the correct way to evaluate potential House Hacking deals.

Hey Guys,I recently passed the Illinois State Broker Exam, and I am having some trouble finding a brokerage to join.

We just joined the Milwaukee Association of Commerce, and it will be fun to keep growing in that market.

When I joined I was reading as much as possible from Brandon and others and if you are going to follow his blueprint for ROI and the cashflow you should expect from rentals, then you are not going to find anything in those areas.

Every office is different as far as whether they charge desk fees, whether you're required to join the National Association of Realtors® (NAR - about $500/year), who pays for MLS ($87/quarter with NAR discount), etc.
