I grew up in Maine, lived in Colorado for ten years or so and moved back last summer.

Attracting better tenants makes it a better place to live for everyone.  

Any success stories especially around Maine?

The main thingI want to know is what is the best way to start out when beginning real estate?

My main question is should I begin investing as soon as possible, or wait and purchase more than one rental property to begin.

I know people have done this on taskrabbit - the 'taskers' mainly do a lot of auto insurance photo-related gigs on there and so their 'taskers' would likely be able to take photos of a property/give advice on an area.

We took out a 3.5% down FHA loan with a 3.75% interest rate.Aside from the potential in the neighborhood we were attracted to this particular house because of its attached in-law suite that would make a perfect short term rental.After moving in the beginning of October we got started sprucing up the in-law.

I'm mainly looking more into Dallas/Hiram area. 

smithville is a main street in that area but it is not the dividing line.
