Do investors ever buy vacation rentals for peak season in areas beach/summer or ski/winter vacation spots for the income and then try to off-load them after the season ends and they are no longer cash flowing?

I currently have a property in Riverside that's now on the market and my next property will be in Long Beach. 

Pro's are it is very central; about a mile from the beach, walking distance to the bay, and across the street from a grocery store and shops/restaurants.

For better or worse its already gentrifying, there are a lot of cute New England homes waiting to be renovated, you've got the cute new town-center, and the tourist appeal of wollaston beach... it's where I'm putting my money.While the area is a bunch of families and you'll probably find plenty of wholesome renters I'm definitely with Account Closed on tenant screening, though.
