Remind yourself that you are a businessperson, not a superhero.

Since this is a topic that's often troublesome, let me remind anyone who's thinking about posting that "referral" means someone who you have worked with but have no financial relationship with.

This situation reminds me of one of my favorite quotes from Thomas Sowell "Economic policies need to be analyzed in terms of the incentives they create, rather than the hopes that inspired them."

It also gives me a face to the tenants which seems to help with their attitude.The thing is that I'm a little burned out but I keep reminding myself how fortunate I am to have my own business right now.

Recently my spouse discovered the first floor tenants are using our machines and were incredibly disrespectful when speaking about her while explaining to me their side of the story, stating she "had an attitude", though she was simply reminding them that they should be using their own washer and dryer.
