I recently had to replace some water damaged ones, and having struggled with this stuff in the past to do a decent repair job because of the blind tongue & groove nature of it, went to Harbor Freight and bought a 1/4" air crown stapler for $20.

There is a school a block away and a Walmart, Ross, Harbor Freights, Dunken Donuts and Goodwill in the adjacent areas (all 0.5 miles away).This property was stripped down to the studs and has been completely redone with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, new carpet, tile, heaters, HVAC system, water pipes and electric wire.

It was very commonly used in Florida during the real estate boom.It baffles me that drywall (which is extremely heavy) could be produced in China, shipped here, and then sold for a profit.Rob K, I work in Logistics and when I first started I was incredibly surprised to find out how cheap ocean freight actually is, which made a lot of things make more sense.
