Than Merrill

I will be attending Than Merrill's three-day weekend event in Detroit, MI and I am nervous! First off I have no money to just to be giving away and getting no return on it, secondly they mentioned how it will be intense and there will be a lot of information thrown at us. I have a difficult time comprehending things when there is no set time spent breaking down one concept to another. I attended the free 2-hour "seminar", which turned out to be advertisement for the 3-day event. However, they mentioned two concepts that stuck out to me in reference to getting started and that is: wholesaling and Cash Buyers and being able to do real estate with no money and not so good credit. Can anyone point me in the direction of getting information on Wholesaling and Cash Buyers? Is it true that this profession, if done correctly, can be started with no money and bad credit?

I am going to be very blunt here and it is for your own protection. People with no money and no credit (or similar) are often enticed by "no money needed"strategies tossed at them by gurus and the like. Than is, in my opinion, one of the biggest guru scam artists n the business today. He runs these gimmick free seminars all over the country, they are advertised on radio and TV. He makes millions of dollars selling the dream and more free than not, the only thing you end up with is a nightmare. The 3 day seminar will be yet another push to higher priced training and such. Don't fall for it. In fact, this 3 day event that you will have all kinds of info tossed at you will be on general format, sensationalized to the max, made to sound like any idiot can pull it off and you don't need any previous education, experience, or money (other than credit cards to pay their fees)!

I am disgusted at the ploys this specific company uses to get people to hand over their hard earned cash. I know the game well as this is not the only company that performs these deeds, but as I stated, their employees  are taught to use any of the forms of persuasion to sell the sucker (I mean customer).

I hope you have not paid for anything yet, if you gave, get your money back now!!! There is no better place than here to start your education, much of which is free. Ad on a few purchased books, attend local RE club events, and asking questions of those in the business in your area.
