Do check ins every 6 months-check the furnace filter and batteries in the smoke detectors/CO detectors to make sure they are working. 

Batteries, comes up missing, stops working, etc..

So I went over with some batteries, popped it open with my fingers, and changed the batteries (2 AA).

Only the built in 2 work The batteries might be bad.
