I have just been informed that to find your hangout invite you need to go to the hangout section and find the dropdown menu with your invites listed in it.

Go to a real estate meeting, try to find out who's who in the meeting and then just get their card and invite them out for coffee.

I would introduce myself to the neighborhood by door knocking there everyday until everyone has met you at least once.Offer to do open houses for any agent with a current listing in that neighborhood so you can invite the neighbors to attend.
