If they do, see how much business they are doing, how many properties that agent owns [this is important] and what types/areas the investors are buying in.Once you've found a few of these agents, I'd suggest volunteering for them once a week or what ever you can afford and go hang out with them and offer to run errands, put up signs, put on lock boxes and take pictures.Just a thought.

On the contrary, you're left to your own devices on this site (performing searches, scouring posts, networking, etc), though I do find this site to be more valuable overall than the education I received from the Rich Dad program.

Whereas I live out of the area I need someone trustworthy to help keep an eye on the property, put a lock box on the door, possibly showing the house, put FOR Sale sign in the front yard, and put a number of (house for sell with owner financing) signs just out side of the city limits.

Right after you close on an improved property get an insurance policy that protects you in case of a loss.As soon as you can get it done after closing have the exterior doors locks changed.

You can lock out but you have to provide a key if ask for 24 hours a day.

Friend got it with this at a vacation home.Forget the billing and fix the problem:First take better pictures of the meter and the connection for evidence.Get an electrical contractor to come out, disconnect the illegal connection and install a security box with a lock so there's no access to the power connects.Write a letter, send it Certified to the neighbor with copies of the tampering that this is criminal fraud and theft and if it occurs again, they will be prosecuted - - clearly note a copy has been sent to the Utility Company.You might research the owner of the property and send a copy to them also (in case it might be rented).You didn't start this but need to control it.
