The reason I was listed as a Creditor's Representative in BK was due to the fact that I serviced notes, and the appraiser appointed by the court never disagreed with me nor did the BK attorney.

I suggest you not represent yourself with the lender, get a Realtor who does short sales or better yet in this case, go to your attorney. :)

I am looking for meaty material that will not only give me some ideas for tracking down leads on sellers and buyers, but also tips on legal matters (how should I represent myself to sellers, contract wording etc) and figures for appropriate offers (ie fair offers not equity stripping).

It's not the PM's responsibility to make sure you pay your bills, unless they are paying them for you (as some do around here).That being said, they should have made sure when they signed the contract to manage for you that you are the legal owner or representative for the property.
