Banks on your buyers list?

Forgive me if this has been asked before, but has anyone had any success wholesaling one of their deals to banks? The reason I ask is because I was going through the county sold list for sherrif sales in my area, and I noticed that the majority of the buyers in the sherrif sales were banks, not small banks, big banks.
