I do think that you are right about Texas allowing them but many of the companies that offer them do not seem to have availability in Texas, including the ones that you listed.

The problem: Yes they will buy, but they will also sell, so it becomes a wash in terms of supply and demand. 

Start growing your network, look on Facebook/BiggerPockets for different events, find a mentor doing what you want to do, and get to know the local lenders/brokers.

Never heard of this course or the guy who started it.
