I relocated to Topeka from Wichita a year ago - Even though I owned properties in Wichita I was not approved to buy a house here due to purchasing a business so for the first time in my life I had to rent - Market was difficult from a renter perspective - things were going quickly -- SEVERE lack of anything quality and I was blown away with what things were renting for.

I am looking to relocate to phoenix in the next 6 months and do a house hack.My understanding for conventional financing for a duplex the minimum is 15% down and triplex/4plex is 20% down.A lender told me FHA only applies to duplexes or can it be used on triplex or 4plex?

How expensive it will be will depend on how far you're relocating and how many things you have; the more stuff you have, the more expensive the move will be.

We are planning on relocating to the Texas panhandle this fall and in the meantime I would like to start getting ready.
