Ive been talking to my parents a little about REI and it seems to have peaked their interest.

If we were at a different time in the real estate economy and weren't so close to peak prices, there'd be more room for appreciation options but even those seemed squeezed right now.I've always invested out-of-state for this exact reason.

He tells me real estate prices are at their all time peak with lots and lots of new construction.Prices seem to be out of sync with the local earning capacity as well which to me is a strong indication of speculation.

Reading the forums, books, and listening to pod cast all day has peaked my interest in the BRRRR method found here on BiggerPockets.My intent is to work towards dedicating my full time focus on this business.

You can walk the property in advance and peak in the windows but surprises abound in Auction houses. 

Sometimes they are very well done and peak my interest, so I'll at least look at them.

The more I research 203K loans, the more my interest is peaked in taking this route, as i currently do not own a home, and this would be my 1st :).
