I can share some stories that we have.

First I do want to say that I really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences and the wealth of knowledge I have found here.

Even after the housing market crash in 2008 where the price of the S&P 500 dropped from ~$1300 in August 2008 to ~$700 in March 2009, the price recovered to ~$1100/share by October 2009. 

People go right to the platforms they want to watch, and they just keep subscriptions (or share them) for whatever they like.

I am starting the jorney to learn and share in this platform.

Also, you can always cashout refi them AFTER retirement and get that money tax-free (until you sell or transfer via inheritance).Recommend you read The Millionaire Real Estate Investor, which shares the plans of several different investors.

It's also totally fine to hop around from broker to broker if you feel like you're out of a shared runway.
