Investment Info:Single-family residence buy & hold investment in Surf City.

Mother ocean cuts through whenever she feels like it, no matter how many 2000 lb sand bags the NC highway division stacks up. sometimes taking out the road and sometimes just covering it in a foot or so of water.There are some other areas that get frequent over-wash but none like that spot.If you google "mirlo beach home" you can see some  videos of waves breaking underneath  those houses.I surf, fish, spearfish and free-dive in the outer banks and I spend more time looking at sand bars and near shore bathymetry than most people.Hope to hear from Y'all soon

I came up with another idea while surfing when I found a number of homes for sale for next to nothing or even some free!

I am hoping to find someone who has broken the surf I know I have plenty to learn but I can only read so many more books until I have to just get that first deal under my belt.

BTW, I'm listening to their old radio shows online as I'm working/surfing.

But I realize I need to get out in the real world as many of the best deals are found through relationships, not by surfing the web.  

Most airbnb rentals run the gamut from sofa surfing to a full blown house.

Going to Hawaii to parasail, surf and SCUBA with an afternoon for househunting doesn't really count either.  

I decided to do my own research instead, surfing online, reading great books recommended by BP community over here and fast forward 6 mnths, I just closed my 3rd rental property with 2 more under contract, all cash flow positive.
