They apparently were not worth saving and had reached the end of their useful life (the ultimate depreciation) and actually were some expense to dispose of....meanwhile, all the single family homes and multiplexes have appreciated handsomely and still generate rents....

And someone saved you the vinyl asbestos tile removal/disposal headache but you can see the marks from the pull up....maybe some good bones left and ideally it looks better for the outside, so much interior work to go...Best of luck
