I also have a portfolio of rentals in the UK and India but for the moment, the US is the most attractive market for me.My short-term objective is to build an income stream but the priority in the medium-to-long term is capital growth so I tend to buy good value but better quality units (not the bottom-end high income properties).

Continue to educate yourself through the mediums available on this forum.One thing I suggest, is to take some time and learn about the pros and cons of investing out of state, especially for the first time.There are different schools of thought on this form, and in regards to out of state investing, you will come across two in particular.

For example, I need advice with financing of future purchases, I especially like small to medium apartment buildings, how to access the equity in my current properties for future purchases, establishing the proper holding entities, approaches to reducing costs and systems that I should have in place to allow for scalability as our business grows.

she did the job we requested in the first place - provide us with an "as repaired" appraisal - and that did modify the value, however, she did not relent on the MS downgrade.I have all parties on my side, except the mind of the appraiser, but because of the regulatory changes in the past year, the bank's hands are a bit tied on this...I love my banker (she's a VP in the community bank where I do my business - they currently run about 7 branches, so they're medium in size).
