New to Real Estate Investing from Los Angeles

Hello Everyone,

My name is Ali, I am 23 years old and live/work in Los Angeles, specifically in the San Fernando Valley. I graduated one year ago with an Engineering degree and am currently working a full time job as an engineer. I also work on random things on a side, and I am definitely a doer.

I have always had my eye on Real Estate & Real Estate Investing, but recently have starting doing more research. Huge coincidence, but the week I found out about BP through the podcast (and binge listened while in the office) I met a neighbor who makes his living from investing in HUD program properties out of state.

I am pretty fortunate because I don't have any major payments right now, no loans, and good credit, so it makes it a great time to start my investing career. I hope to stay close to the neighbor I met and invest in some properties out of state to start and follow his lead. I didnt know too much about HUD investing but after talking to him and doing some research I feel like it could be a good "in" for me.

My future goals would be to invest in multi family and commercial properties.

I look forward to sticking around BP and meeting the community!
