As I literally just immigrated 3 days ago, I don't have a SSN, therefore can't get a bank account AND I am still employed in Switzerland so have no income in the US.

I am an immigrant here in Canada and support myparents back home but I am frugal and try to save crazy to be able to invest.

I live in New Jersey.I did my research and the governor of New Jersey passed a law allowing illegal immigrants to get professional licenses.

Most of the time it's immigrants and most of the time they are good people, but it's a bummer that you cannot perform credit or background checks on them....It's a tought choice to make whether you should rent to them or not.

A portion of them are first generation immigrants and I doubt they’d be living up American dream (multi million dollar homes and high 7 - 8 figure net-worth) without their college degree.

Be advised that in some jurisdictions, it’s actually illegal for a landlord to make any inquiry regarding the immigration or citizenship status of a prospective tenant.
