It is fun and easy enough to setup and learn, it does teach great concepts about finance and spending. 

If their system is THAT good then why are they wasting time teaching classes when they could be spending all that time investing in real estate.

But 4 units is not that big of a deal and it will teach you the ropes.  

My advice: partner with someone that's doing it and you'll learn more than any of the above will ever teach you.

Maybe work something out where you shadow them for a while, maybe they can mentor / teach you for a few years until you are ready (or however long that is).

Thanks for your reply.I feel as if investing through reits will not teach me the "feel" of sitting down, closing a deal, knowing the details of the deal, the human aspect of it and learning more... it's more putting my money in the hands of others.

With the wife still teaching and after our campground/rental income we currently net around twice as much a month than we have in bills.  

It would not hurt for me to take a little time to teach you a few things.

I've been listening to the podcasts for a couple weeks now and it is definitely making my commutes more enjoyable while teaching me a ton of new information.I graduate from college in NJ next semester.
