Paying for real estate education

Heidy Luna
Posted

Hello.  I am just getting started on the real estate business.  I have no knowledge of it,  just reading some books now. I had attended a workshop about investing in real estate, but this people want to charge between $30k to 50K to mentor you and guide you thru this business...  Is this a normal amount of money that most staring investor will pay? Or am I the only one that thinks is way too much?

First, the amount you want to pay for your REI education is up to you...but you will be paying for it. Either now or later. I laugh at those that said, "they didn't pay for it...they learnt as they went along...". My question to them is what did they actually learn...and at what cost? More important...what didn't they learn...and at what cost?

A little over a year ago, I had a heart valve replacement.  I'm pretty sure my cardiologist, surgeon, and other personal that worked in and out of the surgery room, didn't get their education through on the job training...and I can't tell you how happy I am that they did.

You will be responsible for handling multi millions of dollars over the course of your REI career. Think about it.
