To me, it seems like they should give some kind of notice, or at least I should have seen a contract when I bought the building and read that - but I didn't.

Things are going well, I think.I found out yesterday, though, that the property we were getting ready to close on had been split into two parcels, and Fannie Mae only foreclosed on the parcel with the house on it, .52 acres.

Sam, if your offer had a 72-hour deadline for acceptance and they exceeded it, they probably assume you don't need notice that they didn't accept it.

The lender I do have limits loans they can't sell to Fannie/Freddie to 2 loans.

There were some tell tale signs on the surface that a trained eye might notice to clue one on the conditions, but the average guy would have though the site was never developed because there were trees and vegetation all over the place.
