If my time is worth $50 per hour and I can hire out the yard mowing for $25 - then, I just saved $25, not spent $25.Also, don't forget the taxes are 2% of the Assessed value not the purchase price as you have in your figures above.Good luck.

In 2 weeks I will be going to Phili to look at properties with a local broker who I started working with.I will be looking for homes that are mostly 3 bedroom 1 bath and some are 2 bedroom 1 bath. all seem to be row houses, 2 floor, some sort of small rear yard (very small), and have basements, and about 800-1000 square feet.The specific areas will be between Frankford Avenue, and Kensington Ave between East Somerset street and east Venango street.
