You are an independent operator shopping for a mentor who is going to take a cut of your pie and charge you rent to hang your license.

I'm also looking into trying to join my local REA, and trying to look for ways to find a mentor.

For example one guy recently updated all copper with PEX which according to my mentor was not needed at all.so that's why I want to learn how to determine if there is any plumbing or electrical issue myself.Thanks

I am willing to do work and put money behind my marketing but would love to find a mentor locally who understands my market, wants deals brought to them, and could guide my efforts to be more efficient. 

I've been reading and listening to a lot of the BP podcasts for about 2 months now and I'm ready to commit more time to a mentor looking for an assistant or go-for.

Podcasts, borrowing books from the library, borrowing books from my mentors, etc.Even today I still do this working towards my next couple properties.
