I'm wondering if credit card payments I make monthly to credit cards in my parents name (read I am not an authorized user, so these don't show up on my credit reports) would count towards my DTI formula when I apply for pre-approval then mortgage.

We spent a little more on the renovation than desired however we were able to command above-average rent.

.  A decent home in a good area with private bedrooms can command monthly rents of $4k to $6000 per bedroom.

Have a family member who lives at the same address add you as you as an “authorized user” to his/her credit card and you will (almost) immediately have a credit score and a credit history, as the already existing credit card history will right away show up under your credit as well.

That makes is illegal ADU and I'm not allowed to have an oven there.I'd like to use rent as qualified income to reduce my DTI ratio (for new loans) Some work that I'd like to do will require permit (part of the wall is still unfinished and I might add few electric outlets)Any advice is appreciated!
