I even write my own very effective 3 page hand written yellow letters...and have done a few for a couple other wholesalers :) I have to say I love everything about REI and writing my own ebooks about topics pertaining to real estate...

I may send a postcard first, then a yellow letter hand addressed, then a larger postcard, then a professional letter, etc.

Is 500 yellow letters to absentee owners sufficient?

SO I'VE SENT OUT A FEW YELLOW LETTERS BUT OCCASIONALLY WHEN IM ON MY STATE TAX SITE FINDING THE ABSENTEE OWNER'S MAILING ADDRESS I WILL SEE THAT THE VACANT HOME IS OWNED BY A COMPANY (EX. 1ST REALTY LLC) OR IT WILL BE BANK OWNED....WHEN THIS HAPPENS DO YOU STILL MAIL THE YELLOW LETTER TO THE ADDRESS/ BUSINESS LISTED OR SHOULD I FOCUS ONLY ON THE ONES THAT SEEM TO BE "REAL PEOPLE/ ACTUAL OWNERS"??

I have used yellow letters in the past but only send customized mailers now as they have been generating much better responses.  

I put my first-ever yellow letter in the mail today to the owner of a property I found while driving around town (driving for dollars).

I plan mailing a yellow letter and have been examining my list by calling owners and asking if they are interested in selling.

But if you're sending, say, yellow letters, you can estimate around a 10% response rate.

Yellow letters I know is all about the numbers.
