You have a lot of options at your disposal, but I think you really need to sit down and think about what your REI goals are, then invest some time into self education to help you clearly define your path forward.

I’m not sure what owning properties would do with this topic though, so maybe educate me on that?

The GI Bill is for education, the VA loan is the favorable lending program for veterans.

I’m willing to learn anything I can and have already educated myself quite a bit by listening to podcast and reading books on real estate.

As a community, I think that we can do a better job educating newbies to keep them out of hot water, help them make money, and in return get good deals out of it. 

I was research real estate wholesaling courses and educational material online.There is a huge variety of different material out there.

Make sure you are digging into- The market- Education in the area- Demographics- Job Diversity- Major employers- What class of building is it?

I also am educating myself to start purchasing my own rental properties.
