Clifford Sumner Median sales price and finding a target neighborhood in Tampa, FL
24 March 2016 | 2 replies
This is my first post aside from my warmly welcomed introduction in the intro forum :)So, as the title states I'm trying to find our target neighborhoods for finding our fist house to flip and the first thing I wanted to start out with was figuring out the median sales prices of houses in the general area so that I can pinpoint the neighborhoods with comparably priced homes in that range.I'm finding that everyone seems to have their own idea about what the median house prices are (many sites being totally outdated and useless). Here are the prices I've found that seem to be reliable enough:Median PricesZillow median sale price:$197,425.00Trulia Median sale price:$174,950.00Realtor.com med close price:$165,000.00Floridarealtors.org$199,000.00Average:$184,093.75Should I just stick with the average I have here and stop over thinking it or do you all have a goto data source that's open to the public?
