I am trying to purchase a lot adjacent to the property that I currently own.

I bought my first investment property about a month ago northeast of the Austin Airport.

I've also been struck by the kindness and hard-working nature of the people I've encountered, from our retired neighbor (former Vietnam pilot) who offered to give my first pilot tenants rides to/from the airport 24/7 and calls us if he sees any "funny business" to our handyman who stayed at our 3rd property until 11pm to get everything ready as promised for move in.

In addition, there is a vacant lot adjacent to the property.

However I don't have a lot of confidence to begin mailing the letters, post cards, I see a lot of owners living within the city or the adjacent city of my targeted properties which they can easily ask a realtor to sell their properties and why would they sell the properties to me with a discount?

@Mia Brewington They meet every 3rd thursday at the marriott by the airport, $15 for non members, starts at 7pm.

I'm actually moving back for two reasons, one because I missed CO and two because my wife accepted a job and since I fly all the time with my current job it doesn't really matter where I live, as long as I'm near an airport.

There will be programs for that, just like houses close to the airport, they have a quite building program that is being paid for by LAWA, I assume it will be the same, the probable issue will be the ground shakings / vibrations when rails pass.
