Curious if people have any experience adding solar power (or even house geothermal systems) to properties and what you did to justify the expenses.

My then boyfriend, now hubby, is a contractor and together we remodeled the place doing everything ourselves except electric, plumbing and the flat roofs (yes, we shingled the pitched parts.)

This one had baseboard electric heat so they also had to be replaced.

Don't worry about these costs per se, it's the entire Op Ex model of STR's that is the silent killer, you have to pay for EVERYTHING including these platforms but also furniture, electricity, gas, pool, landscaping, etc.

Geneva,Couple questions, thoughts: first, why are you picking up electricity/garbage/water in your monthly expenses?

I would think of 3rd party mortgage negotiation forms, or Power of Attorney forms, or the name on the deed, but not sure how medicaid would tie in here?
