I was interested in Strawberry mansion, but after driving by a property I was interested in, I decided the area was too rough to even get out of the car to walk around.My current house was pretty much turnkey.

There is 10 acres of strawberry farm south of his property and the 20 acres east and south east of his land has been developed into a neighborhood with 1 acre lot homes.

Strawberry Mansion (depending on how far north or south you are) can offer a lot of opportunity since you can purchase properties for 30k, put 40k into it and rent it out for upwards of 1000 since it's great S8 territory supported by the PHA..

@Matsa Sundara From my experience the best spot for buy and holds are typically in the lower end areas like West Philly, North Philly, Strawberry Mansion, etc.

Personally, my firm has found a lot of success finding lucrative flips and rentals in North Philly (Strawberry Mansion/Brewerytown), Northeast Philly and West Philly.

Unless you’re wanting to invest in Strawberry Mansion, you’ll need access to good lending.Also start learning the market.
