I would prefer a 60's-70's side by side ranch with more modern forced air HVAC.

I gutted the kitchen and replaced it with a modern style kitchen.

The house in question is older but its fairly modern inside, so a little work is needed which is what I want.

Furnishings need to be modern and updated. 

Doorloop is more modern, a few more features, and a higher price point. 

For rental purposes, I think having a nicer/modern kitchen and bathroom will go a long way. 

Detroit is a "Future City" and as such is in position to stand out as the USA's version of what other emerging cities are experiencing in terms of growth, modern infrastructure, transportation, architecture, etc. 

Ergo modern technology the internet and auto responders.

Makes no sense to look at ancient days when trying to analyze a modern-day housing crisis.
